“Bodyguard to the stars” is one term that applies to Rick. Some of the celebrities Rick has protected read like a who’s who of Hollywood. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Redford, Lou Ferigno, Cory Everson, and Amy Grant were just a few of his clients. Rick also provided personal protection for Randall “TEX” Cobb for a number of years. Prior to Cobb filming the movie Uncommon Valor with Gene Hackman, Cobb spent weeks with Rick learning how to handle weapons. Rick served as a sniper in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and held the military record for the longest confirmed night sniper shot for more than 20 years. He served on Albuquerque (NM) Police Department’s original special response team (anti-crime) as a sniper and also on their street decoy program. He developed his Street Decoy and Disguise Course based on his actual experiences. Rick last worked for the Dept. of Energy in their classified security operations and has been recognized in federal court as an expert witness in security issues. Shortly after the filming of Body For Hire Volume 2 in 1997, Rick was forced to retire from active service due to critical injuries he received on-duty with DOE. He continues to improve and now concentrates on recovering from his injuries. He is a seven time Gold Medallist in karate in the New Mexico Police Olympics. Rick placed 5th in the world in the full contact U.S. Karate Alliance Championships senior black belt division in 1992. He was selected and served as a coach on the TEAM USA - Karate to the 1995 Goodwill Games held in Sydney, Australia. Team USA - Karate won more gold medals than any other participating team. Reynolds is a member of ASLET. He has more than 33 years of dedicated martial arts training. He holds black belts in karate, kung fu, and tae kwon do. Rick was inducted into the "Who's Who in American Martial Arts" in 1987. Currently, Rick is the Hanshi (Master Instructor) of the International Bushido Society. Always an adventurer, Rick was the first person to ever pilot a hot air balloon in Indonesia. He once held the world record for the highest flight (24,800ft) by a hot air balloon. Additionally, he was the first Regional Director for Executive Security International in Colorado. Rick is an instructor in Body for Hire videos #1 and #2.
